What is Biltong?
Biltong is what would happen is Jerky and Charcuterie combined forces. Unlike jerky, which is dehydrated, Biltong is air dried and has a flavor profile of pepper, salt, and coriander. Often times, it is sold in slabs, chunks or slices. We are working on expanding our offerings, so stay tuned!
How do I store it?
Sorry, store it? Once you open it, we have a feeling there won't be much left after trying it. But, if you must, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark spot for a couple of days or if storing longer than that, in the fridge. Let it come to room temp for best flavor.
Why don't you ship immediately?
Biltong takes anywhere from 2-4 days. While we work on having inventory in stock, we also want to make sure we get you the freshest product possible. We also don't want biltong being stuck in a hot warehouse over the weekend, so we ship Monday-Wednesday and sometimes Thursday if it is a local delivery.
